History of stock car racing

     This site is a continual work-in-progress. I intend to accomplish two things with this page. First, I would like to make available some of the more obscure information about the history of auto racing that is difficult, if not impossible, to find elsewhere.

As an example, I am trying to compile as complete a history as is possible of USAC's stock car racing division that ran from 1956 through 1984.

At present, I am in possession of complete results from 1971 through 1984, but only partial results before that. As of May 4, 2007, essentially all information I have on the series has been posted, although I will naturally continue to update that data as further information is uncovered. 

     Second, I would like to compile certain widely available information that is scattered across various sources and present it all in a single place.
